Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Applyzio(“Applyzio”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website and services. We act as a data fiduciaryunder India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). By using Applyzio you consent to the practices described here.
Privacy by design: our free tools - the ATS resume checker and cover-letter generator - run entirely in your browser. The resume text and documents you use in them are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
1. Data we collect
You provide: name, email, phone (optional), resume and profile details, job preferences, and content you submit. Payments: handled by our payment processors (Razorpay, PayPal); we receive transaction metadata, not full card details. Automatically: device/browser data, IP address, and usage analytics via cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use your data
To provide and operate Applyzio - checking and tailoring resumes, matching jobs, and (on paid plans) submitting applications you authorise; to process payments; to provide support; to send service and, with your consent, marketing communications; to improve and secure the service; and to comply with law.
3. Legal basis & consent
We process your data based on your consent and to perform our contract with you. You may withdraw consent at any time (this won't affect processing already carried out), and withdrawing certain consents may limit features.
4. Sharing & disclosure
We share data only with: service providers/processors who help us run Applyzio (hosting, database, email, analytics, payments); employers and job platforms where you direct us to submit applications on your behalf; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Google user data (Gmail integration)
If you choose to connect your Gmail account, Applyzio uses it only to send the job-application emails you have reviewed or authorised, from your own Gmail account. This integration is optional and you can disconnect it at any time. The following describes exactly what Google user data we access, how we use it, whether we share it, and how we protect and retain it.
Data we access. We request only the Gmail “send email” permission (the gmail.sendscope) and your Google account's email address. We do not request, and cannot, read, search, download, or otherwise access the contents of your mailbox, your contacts, your Drive, or any other Google data. The only information we receive back from the Google API is confirmation that a message was sent.
How we use it. We use the send permission solely to deliver the specific job-application emails you have reviewed or authorised, from your own address, and we use your account email to show you which account is connected. We do not use Google user data for any other purpose, and never for advertising, lending, or profiling.
Data sharing and transfer. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties, except to transmit the email you authorised through Google's own Gmail service to its intended recipient. In particular, Google user data is never transferred to our AI providers or any data broker or advertiser.
Data protection. Your Google authorisation tokens are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and transmitted only over TLS-encrypted connections, under least-privilege access controls.
Data retention and deletion. We keep your Google tokens only while your Gmail integration is connected. Disconnecting Gmail from your settings - or deleting your account - immediately revokes our access and deletes the stored tokens. You may also revoke access at any time from your Google Account's security settings.
Applyzio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Artificial intelligence and Google data:Applyzio uses third-party AI services (Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini, called directly through their APIs) to tailor resumes, score job matches, and draft outreach emails. We do not transfer any data obtained through Google APIs to these AI providers, and we do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or personalized AI/ML models. Because our Gmail permission is send-only, the emails our AI drafts are generated solely from the resume and profile information you give Applyzio and from publicly available job postings - never from the contents of your mailbox.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service or meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may request deletion at any time.
7. Security & international transfers
We use encryption in transit and at rest and reasonable safeguards to protect your data. Some processors may store data outside India; where they do, we take steps for it to be protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.
8. Your rights
Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to access, correct, update and erase your personal data, to nominate, and to grievance redressal. To exercise these rights, email santhej@applyzio.com.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
Applyzio is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. We process children's data only as permitted by the DPDP Act.
11. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the DPDP Act and the Information Technology Act, 2000, you may contact our Grievance Officer at santhej@applyzio.com. We will acknowledge and address complaints within the timelines required by law.
12. Changes & contact
